Frank Farina, President founded SWIS in September of 2009. After studying Trade Electricity at B.O.C.E.S. Frank enlisted in the US Army and served in an Armor Battalion where he specialized in trouble shooting the electrical systems on tanks and recovery vehicles. He received an honorable discharge in 1979 at the rank of Sergeant. After returning state-side, Frank began his civilian career working with several contractors in numerous capacities and started his own electrical contracting company (Millennium Electrical Contracting Co., Inc.) in 1987.
After twenty years as an electrical contractor, Frank was mentored by Pierre Belarge and obtained his three IAEI certificates in 1&2 Family, General, and Plan Review. Thereafter, The SWIS (State Wide Inspection Service) Training Center commenced its operations. The SWIS Training Center, staffed by certified instructors, is dedicated to providing everyone in the trades’ industry with the education needed to move forward and in keeping abreast of current requirements.
Frank is an Electrical Inspector in Westchester County and is the Electrical Inspector for Putnam County. He oversees all aspects of the inspection division of SWIS providing electrical inspections through the authority of the local building departments.
Frank lives with his wife, Janice and their three children in Fishkill, New York
Janice FarinaVice President
Janice Farina, Vice President, joined SWIS in 2011. Janice has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration from Iona College and brings fifteen years of commercial banking experience to SWIS. She oversees the company’s daily operations and all internal and external accounts.
Janice and Frank currently reside in Fishkill, New York with their three children.
Fred MorelloElectrical Inspector
Fred Morello, Electrical Inspector, joined SWIS in 2011 bringing with him over twenty-five years of experience in the electrical field. He is a certified IAEI (NCPCCI) inspector and a member of NFPA and IAEI. Fred is a New York State Code Enforcement Official and is currently completing his Certified Electrical inspector training. After attending Westchester Community College for electrical technology, he became licensed in multiple counties in New York as well as the State of Connecticut.
Prior to joining SWIS, Fred was the founder and proprietor of Morello Electric, an electrical and construction company. He was compelled to make a career change to fulfill his dedication to inspection safety. Fred has gained respect from his peers and is a tremendous asset to the SWIS team.
Fred is a Yonkers native and resides in Poughquag with his wife, Diane and their three children.
Christopher FarinaElectrical Inspector
Christopher Farina, Electrical Inspector, joined SWIS in 2010. Chris is a New York State Code Enforcement Official and an Electrical Inspector in 1 & 2 Family Dwelling, General, and Plan Review.
Chris is also a recent member of International Association of Electrical Inspectors.
After years of working in the field, and in the office of SWIS, Chris was driven to enter the electrical inspection arena where he could focus on Safety Compliance.
Chris is a resident of Larchmont, New York.
Steven MorelloAssistant Vice-President
Steven Morello, Assistant Vice-President , Steven attended Dutchess County Community College and Majored in Business Administration. Steven creates final certificates and assists with daily departmental needs including invoicing, scheduling inspections, sending utility cards, and preparing SWIS Training documents and certificates. Steven is a recent member of International Association of Electrical Inspectors

Kathleen Jakes, Administrative Assistant , joined SWIS in 2017. Kathleen has a strong background in the medical field having over 20 years of billing and managerial experience. Kathleen creates final certificates, and assists with daily departmental needs including answering the phones, scheduling inspections, and sending utility cards. Kathleen enjoys working with people and is a great addition to the SWIS team.

Jean Marie LaSorsa, Administrative Manager , joined SWIS in 2012. Jean Marie manages the SWIS Training Division and maintains the SWIS Training Website. Jean Marie has over twenty years of IT and Web-based training experience.
